To Mr. Walsh

I wish you well wherever you are. I'm sorry that I must resort to sending this letter one month late. Your first anniversary passed without much fanfare; your second even less.

We've all graduated now, Mr. Walsh. _{(Well, most of us anyways. Other than those who were either too lazy to finish, or had to many other responsibilities, or who *actually* wanted to learn and learn well.)} You weren't there to join us, so we petitioned the school to let us wear a button for you.

I'm going on to graduate school now; others did too (though I must say, I never interpret "Education" as proper graduate school for a Mathematics major when I'm going to study more "Mathematics." Tsk tsk. I bet my life will be so much harder than theirs). Still others went on to work; perhaps later they will return to school.

Sometimes I wonder what you would be doing, but more often than not I just don't remember.

Don't let us forget, Mr. Walsh.
