DEAR BEANS | CHARACTER PROFILE SHEETS (5/?)
Emily Huang — the shy, studious bookworm // (Friend #4 of 4)
Already shy and made even more shy when her family moves to a new school district, Emily begins her middle school career by burying herself in books. Although she initially feels infinitely awkward when classmates try to invite her to join them during lunch, she is eventually won over and becomes good friends with Chris, Seth, and Alan.
Possessing mediocre intelligence but strong work ethic, Emily is the only one of the four friends to pursue and complete the IB program during high school. For college, she attends Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego (hooray for a PK discount! ) as a math major and later becomes a high school teacher.

Posting today because it's Emily's birthday!
I totally did not just make up her birthday like a couple weeks ago.
I mean, I already decided upon June ages ago!! xD

What I really like about your characters is that you stay within the style without falling into its generic pitfalls. They have a certain naturalism and individuality in their expressions and mannerisms instead of the 'same-exact-face-just-different-hair' tendency that you see in some of the manga/anime artists. Looking forward to more.
